Sepak Bola Indonesia - Putu Gede Juni Antara tak dipanggil timnas Indonesia saat melawan timnas Mauritius pada 11 September 2018 mendatang.
Sebelumnya, Putu Gede memang masuk daftar 20 nama pemain timnas Indonesia. Namun dua hari kemudian nama Putu gede menghilang bersama dua pemain Persija yakni, Rezaldi Hehanusa dan Andritanu Ardhiasyah.
Tak terima mengetahui namanya tak lagi masuk daftar pemain timnas Indonesia, Putu Gede merasa kecewa dan bilang seperti ini.
"Pastinya saya kecewa, karena seperti semua pemain sepak bola, tampil bersama timnas adalah sebuah kebanggaan tersendiri," ujarnya, melansir dari Bola.com.
Putu Gede mengungkapkan jika kekecewaannya itu tak ada hubungannya dengan Bima Sakti. Ia yakin bahwa Bima Sakti mempuanyai pertimbangan lain tidak menyertakan namanya dalam skuat.
Namun, ia tak memungkiri jika sempat mempertanyakan namanya yang hilang dari daftar 20 pemain yang terpanggil.
"Ada apa kok nama saya hilang? Sampai sekarang saya masih bertanya-tanya," ujar bek sayap kanan Bhayangkara FC tersebut.
Meski demikian Putu memilik fokus bersama Bhayangkara FC untuk pertandingan melawan Perseru Serui.
"Saya ambil hikmahnya saja. Setidaknya dengan absen membela timnas lawan Mauritius, saya bisa bermain untuk klub," terang Putu.
Tak hanya itu, dengan tampil baik bersama Bhayangkara FC, ia berharap bisa kembali dipanggil ke Timnas Indonesia proyeksi Piala AFF 2018 nanti.
"Sebagai pemain dan warga Indonesia, saya ingin memberikan semuanya untuk bangsa ini. Semoga apa yang saya lakukan bersama klub bisa membuat saya kembali ke Timnas," harap Putu Gede.
