Satu-satunya gol skuat Garuda dicetak oleh Evan Dimas Darmono pada menit ke-89.
Ini menjadi modal positif bagi skuat Garuda dalam upaya persiapan jelang perhelatan akbar Piala AFF 2018 pada November mendatang.
Namun begitu, timnas Indonesia harus menerima satu petaka akibat permainan keras tim lawan.
Dilansir BolaSport.com dari labbola, tercatat 12 pelanggaran dilakukan oleh timnas Mauritius yang menghasilkan empat kartu kuning.
Permainan keras Mauritius membuat salah satu sosok gelandang tangguh timnas Indonesia terpaksa mendapatkan perawatan.
Ia adalah Zulfiandi. Gelandang Sriwijaya FC ini harus ditandu ke luar lapangan setelah terlibat adu fisik dengan pemain lawan pada menit ke-34.
Ini sangat berbahaya bagi Zulfiandi, mengingat ia sempat mendapatkan ancaman pensiun dini dari sepak bola akibat cederanya.
Vonis bahwa karier Zulfiandi sudah habis disampaikan oleh salah satu pelatih di Tanah Air yang dinilai sangat membuatnya termotivasi untuk membuktikan bahwa hal itu salah.
"Beliau membandingkan saya dengan Ismed Sofyan dan mengatakan bahwa karier saya tidak akan berkembang lagi pasca cedera dan menikah muda, hal itu sangat mencambuk hati saya," ungkap Zulfiandi seraya enggan menyebutkan identitas sang pelatih.
Seperti diketahui, Zulfiandi bersusah payah untuk bangkit dari cedera lutut yang dialaminya pada tahun lalu.
Pemain jebolan timnas U-19 Indonesia itu pun harus absen cukup lama pada ajang Liga 1 2017.
Ia bahkan hanya tampil dalam dua pertandingan bersama Bhayangkara FC musim lalu.
"Musim lalu saya sempat absen cukup lama karena cedera lutut kiri sehingga praktis hanya bermain di 2 pertandingan saja, sebagai seorang pesepakbola itu tentu sebuah situasi yang sangat sulit," ujar Zul dikutip BolaSport.com dari Tribun Sumsel pad Jumat (25/5/2018).
Tak heran jika kekhawatiran akan kambuhnya cedera tersebut kembali muncul setelah ia terlihat kesakitan pada pertengahan babak pertama laga timnas Indonesia kontra Mauritius.
Apalagi Zulfiandi merupakan salah satu pemain yang diproyeksi bakal menjadi andalan lini tengah timnas Indonesia di ajang Piala AFF 2018.
