INDOSPORT.COM - Mantan pelatih Timnas Indonesia, Luis Milla saat ini belum juga menandatangani perpanjangan kontrak yang ditawarkan federasi sepak bola Indonesia, PSSI.
Milla saat ini dilaporkan tengah berkumpul bersama keluarganya di Spanyol, dan belum lama ini menyaksikan pertandingan antara Malaga FC vs CD Terenife di Stadion La Rosaleda, Malaga.
Kendati demikian, PSSI menyatakan tetap mengupayakan yang terbaik untuk Timnas Indonesia. Sekjen PSSI, Ratu Tisha Destria mengungkapkan, sampai saat ini pihaknya masih berkomunikasi dengan Luis Milla terkait rencana perpanjangan kontrak.
Tisha berharap Luis Milla bisa segera datang ke Indonesia, dan duduk bersama membicarakan kontrak yang belakangan disebut cukup ruwet karena ada beberapa permintaan baru dari sang pelatih.
"Kami mengupayakan yang terbaik. Kami masih intens berkomunikasi dengan Luis Milla. Kami berharap Milla bisa segera datang ke Indonesia untuk duduk bersama mendiskusikan kontraknya,” ujarnya singkat.
Seperti diketahui, kontrak Luis Milla bersama Timnas Indonesia memang sudah berakhir pada Agustus lalu. Setelahnya, Luis Milla kemudian pulang kampung bersama dua asistennya, Miguel Gandia dan Julio Banuelos.
Tak berselang lama, ketua umum PSSI, Edy Rahmayadi lantas mengumumkan akan memperpanjang kontrak Luis Milla usai melakukan rapat dengan anggota Komite Eksekutif PSSI pada 28 Agustus 2018 lalu.
Dan, sambil menunggu proses negosiasi kontrak Luis Milla, PSSI untuk sementara mempercayakan Danurwindo (direktur teknik PSSI) dan Bima Sakti untuk menangani tim senior.
Keduanya akan memimpin Timnas Indonesia saat menjalani laga uji coba melawan Mauritius pada tanggal 11 September ini di Stadion Wibawa Mukti, Cikarang.
DI sisi lain, PSSI juga dikabarkan sudah menyiapkan nama alternatif lainnya jika kesepakatan dengan Luis Milla tak tercapai. Setidaknya ada dua nama lain yang jadi incaran yakni Widodo Cahyono Putro dari Bali United dan Simon McMenemy dari Bhayangkara FC.
